It’s been a busy month, so I have quite a few backlogged wedding posts! First up is Marina & Andrew. They were married at Rancho Bernardo Inn in Rancho Bernardo of course ;). The venue was fantastic and I’d love to shoot there again… the ceremony lighting was fantastic! Marina and Andrew were truly a beautiful couple, and I wish them all the best!

Chad & Jessica at Cardiff by the Sea
August 14th, 2010
Chad & Jessica were married in July 2010 on the rooftop of the Cardiff by the Sea Lodge. I loved the favors they gave out – paper cards with wildflower seeds to be planted by their guests – so cute! The Lodge provided lots of cool architecture and design for photo backdrops… always makes a great match with a gorgeous-in-love couple ;).

Chandra & Andy at Calamigos Ranch
July 14th, 2010
I’m so happy to share these photos of my good friends, Chandra & Andy, from their AMAZING wedding day. You might remember their gorgeous mugs from this engagement shoot. I may have gone a little overboard with the # of photos I’m posting, but it’s always extra fun to share photos of friends you <3! Chandra & Andy chose a ‘Wonderland’ theme for their wedding complete with a hookah bar, “Eat Me” and “Drink Me” treats for their guests, an awesome magician and lots of other fun details!

Robin & Chris at Steele Canyon Golf Club in Jamul, CA
June 30th, 2010
Robin & Chris were married at Steele Canyon Golf Club located in Jamul, CA. It was a gorgeous Spring wedding with soft pinks and greens as their colors. The site featured a reception room with glass walls that provided lovely, natural light for a good chunk of the evening. Congratulations to a beautiful & so-in-love couple… your wedding day was nothing short of idyllic!

Lynette & Jonathan at The Wedding Bowl
June 24th, 2010
Lynette and Jonathan eloped at The Wedding Bowl in Couvier Park, La Jolla. Lynette and Jonathan (along with their adorable son!) were a ton of fun, and I always love shooting in La Jolla, especially with a nice marine layer :). Many brides I talk to have concerns about “June gloom,” but it is actually one of my absolute favorite lighting situations to shoot in. In other news, I’m voting for more brides with electric blue heels!!

Tanya & Gil at Castle Creek Inn
June 20th, 2010
Tanya & Gil were married at the lovely Castle Creek Inn in Escondido! The bridal suite was filled with mirrors and natural light… everything I like to see (brides – always be sure to check this out when you are looking at venues!) Tanya & Gil’s teary-eyed ceremony was followed by a fun-filled reception with dinner served in martini glasses!

Destination: Annapolis, CA
June 15th, 2010
I had the great pleasure of shooting Pati & Dirk’s beautiful wedding in Annapolis, CA just north of San Francisco. Anvil Vineyard & Ranch provided a gorgeous ceremony site and a huge ranch house for guests to stay in. Pati & Dirk’s family and friends traveled from far and wide on a trip punctuated by a very long winding mountain road, but the destination was certainly worth the journey. Anvil Ranch was totally secluded and still vast. A large turnout from both sides of the family did not stop the ceremony, reception, and everything in between from feeling completely heartfelt and intimate.

Kim & Adam at the Wedding Bowl in La Jolla
May 17th, 2010
Kimberly and Adam tied the knot at the scenic “wedding bowl” at Couvier Park in La Jolla. Their are tons of great spots for photos – a vast blue ocean, sea caves, cobble stone walls and wild flowers – couldn’t ask for more at a beach wedding! :) Kim and Adam were great sports and such a beautiful couple! So… great couple, great location, awesome cloudy sky… it was a photographer’s dream come true!

Regina & Phillip at L’Auberge
April 24th, 2010
Regina & Phillip held their beautiful ceremony and champagne brunch to follow at L’Auberge in Del Mar. In addition to offering a soft sea breeze and sunlight, L’Auberge has plenty of scenic portrait opportunities. The waterfall fountain right near the Sunset Terrace makes a great backdrop, and Seagrove Park is just across the way complete with green grass and a vast ocean view! I am excited to return to L’Auberge in June of 2011 for another wedding with Sweet Emilia Jane!
p.s. This first photo is my fav… so much love!! :)
